Description
The MFH Flint is a robust, two-part fire steel with a handy scraper and cable strap - ideal for use in the field, on survival trips or on the campsite. The approximately 6.5 cm long ignition rod is made from an effective alloy of lanthanum, cerium, copper, iron, zinc and magnesium. This combination of materials guarantees intense, hot sparks at temperatures of up to 3,000 °C - perfect for igniting tow, dry grass or cotton wool.
Thanks to its compact overall length of approx. 9.5 cm and diameter of approx. 9.5 mm, the firestarter fits into any trouser pocket or small equipment compartment. The supplied cable strap holds the firestarter and scraper firmly together - so nothing gets lost. The MFH Flint works reliably even in wind, rain or cold - without gas, petrol or batteries.
