Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In is the market-leading impregnation for breathable and waterproof outdoor clothing. Whether it's demanding hikes, multi-day treks or everyday life in heavy rain: waterproof and breathable clothing only works properly when the outer fabric makes water run off. This is exactly where Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In comes in. When the outer fabric absorbs water, breathability can decrease by up to 70% - the feeling is damp, cold and uncomfortable.
Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In renews the impregnation of your outdoor clothing directly in the washing machine. The water-based formula penetrates completely into the fabric and treats not only the material, but also seams, seals and cords. The result is a flexible and durable water-repellent layer applied to each individual fibre, allowing water vapour to continue to escape. Your clothes stay dry, breathable and comfortable - without the need for a tumble dryer.
Especially practical for outdoor enthusiasts: the impregnation achieves its maximum performance just by air-drying, protects sensitive materials and extends the life of the equipment. It is ideal for garments with membranes such as Gore-Tex®, Sympatex®, eVent®, Nikwax Analogy® and all other waterproof and breathable fabrics.
An important practical note: deep cleaning is often enough to reactivate the DWR function. That's why we always recommend washing with Nikwax Tech Wash® first. Only then does Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In guarantee the necessary protection for clothes that are worn intensively.
