A liner is the climatic core of any sleeping system. The Sea to Summit Silk Blend Sleeping Bag Liner has been developed precisely to improve thermal comfort inside the sleeping bag, increase heat retention and provide a much more pleasant feel on the skin. The combination of 72% Thermolite® Pro yarns with infrared technology, Thermolite® EcoMade fibres and 28% silk creates a soft, breathable and very comfortable sleeping environment.
Many trekkers and campers report that this liner is clearly more comfortable than classic synthetic fibre models. The silk offers a soft, luxurious feel, while the Thermolite® fibres help maintain body heat and regulate the climate during the night.
Comfort and heat retention
Thermolite® Pro fibres use a hollow fibre structure similar to traditional Thermolite, but with permanent ceramic pigments. These absorb infrared radiation from the body and reflect it back to the wearer. In this way, body heat is utilised efficiently without making the material heavy or unbreathable.
Sustainable materials
Part of the fabric uses Thermolite® EcoMade, produced from 100% of recycled textile waste. These fibres are GRS certified and offer the same lightweight thermal performance and durability as new fibres, but with a significantly lower carbon footprint.
Hygiene and odour control
The liner is treated with HeiQ Fresh FFL, an effective biocide-free odour control technology. It uses a bio-based amino sugar polymer that neutralises body odours. On long journeys, pilgrimages or multi-day treks, this technology helps keep the liner fresh for longer.
Practical details for travelling
The rectangular version with Pillow Sleeve acts as a hygienic travelling sheet and includes a space to place the pillow. In addition, Comfort Stretch Panels along the seams increase sleeping comfort and allow for greater freedom of movement.
